Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten Program 2025-2026
For over 159 years, St. John the Baptist Catholic School has been proud to offer a faith-based environment for students to learn and grow. We are a small, academically-strong school that feels like family. We ask that you give St. John the Baptist Catholic School serious consideration as you plan for your child's education for the 2025-2026 school year. Registration begins on March 24, 2025.
Children must be three on or before September 1, 2025 to be eligible for our pre-kindergarten program. All children must be potty trained.
3 Day/Week Program
Our 3 day/week program will be offered on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7:45-2:40. The cost for the 3 day/week program will be $330/month (Aug. - May). If you have a student in grades K-8 registered at SJB, the cost for pre-kindergarten is $310/month. There is also a one-time fee of $150 for materials and supplies. This fee can be paid at the time of registration or when school begins in August. If you prefer different days, we are happy to work with you but the schedule will need to remain consistent.
5 Day/Week Program
Our 5 day/week program will run from 7:45-2:40, Monday through Friday. The cost for the full-time pre-kindergarten will be $490/month or $470/month if you have a current SJB student in grades K-8. The one-time fee is $200 for materials and supplies. Again, this fee can be paid at registration or when school begins in August.
There is a $50 fundraiser fee per student, but each family earns credit towards that amount by selling various items throughout the year - including pizzas, big money raffle tickets, mums, etc.
If you are interested in your child attending St. John's but you feel that costs may be prohibitive, please contact me at school. We have confidential financial scholarships available. No family will be turned away simply because of money.
K - 8 (2025-2026)
Our families, volunteers and supporters are second to none. Continued hard work and dedication will once again be required to achieve a successful year. Please be prepared to give willingly of your time to help those that work diligently to head up the fundraisers. A fund raising committee comprised of parents, evaluates and determines the events that will effectively contribute to the budget. We strongly encourage all families to get involved in this process so that we can create a range of options that will appeal to a wider segment of supporters. We need to work smarter, not longer to achieve our goals. The fundraising fee for the coming year will again be $400 for the first child and $50 per additional student. There will be no increase in book fees this year.

Assistance can be provided by a relative or a friend through a tax-deductible contribution designated for a specific student to the SJB Tuition Assistance Program. Families may also apply for tuition assistance directly from the program. Please contact the school by June 1st for a tuition form. To protect your privacy, a third party agency will determine how much assistance you will receive. We will not turn anyone away who wishes to attend our school.
We feel very strongly that our School provides a unique learning opportunity for each student. For our School to continue to grow, we must share the news that St. John the Baptist School truly makes a difference in Red Bud!

AFTER SCHOOL CARE
After school are is available Monday through Friday until 5:00 p.m. The cost will be determined later; this year it is $7 per child. This does include a snack and help with homework when needed.
